“I recently wrote a review and right after writing and I received a phone call from the owner. Her name is Annie and she was very helpful and beautiful about making sure that she took care of my concerns. She was very efficient the way that she handled it, and I look forward to staying in her Hotel again in the near future. She probably addressed my concerns with the staff that she has on site. I am confident that she is doing her due diligence to make sure that her hotel remains in high-quality. The staff of this facility is very kind and I have no issues with them. the hotel is any great location. It’s quiet. and clean and I would recommend this hotel if you have children.”

“I loved the hotel we stayed at in Mazatlán! Our bus arrived at 10am and they let us check in early, which was such a nice surprise. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We asked for a blanket, and they had it ready for us right away. The next day when we went out, we came back to a little swan made out of towels and even a bow on the toilet paper — it was such a sweet surprise. The hotel felt very secure too. One day, we saw a group of guys trying to hang around the parking area, and security kindly asked them to leave since they didn’t have hotel bracelets. That made us feel even safer.”

“We were greeted with a quick check in. Our room was exactly what we expected. Clean and fresh. They have a variety of tasty options. We were at their restaurant at 7:30am and were one of the first ones there so we avoided the crowd/line to eat. The pool was nice and clean with a great view to the malecón and the sunsets were amazing. Would definitely stay there again in the future. Staff was very friendly and helped with any questions we had. Lovely hotel, across the malecón, close to many restaurants.”

“We have stayed at this hotel twice. Very clean and great location. Staff are super friendly. View is beautiful. Beds are super comfortable water is hot. The reason I have only 4 stars for the room was there is no fridge. Would be so nice to bring home leftovers and have cold drinks. Wifi works great and pool is nice and warm. If they put fridges in room would stay here all the time.”

“I traveled with a friend in March 2026 and we could not be happier about our experience at this hotel. We were looking for stunning natural beauty and spectacular views. Mexico is home to some of the most beautiful places in the world no doubt, I have travelled several parts of Mexico, but I was extremely taken by how generously scenic this area is. Truly a gem. I'm just talking about Mazatlán in general rn, if you have not yet travelled there. Now of the Hotel Grand Varali: this hotel has absolutely gorgeous views, I doubt any other hotel in the Zona Dorado could beat the views or the location: the rooftop restaurant, the fitness room (it is very well equipped and clean if you plan to workout) and the second floor infinity pool, all look out onto the ocean and the Malecon. You can also see the iconic Farro (lighthouse) from the rooftop restaurant at night. The sunsets from the Malecon are the most beautiful we have both ever seen. This could be a very romantic stay as well as suitable for families and young children. Do you like bird and wildlife watching? Then you will not be disappointed with a Lakeview room! We thoroughly enjoyed the view from our balcony and the sounds of the birds at dusk and dawn. We imagine the ocean view rooms of course also beautiful, however if you have young children or are less interested in nightlife you might appreciate staying on this quieter side of the hotel with the birdies. A little tiny thing that could have taken this stay up even one more notch for us would be a screen provided at the sliding glass door so we could enjoy more of the cool night and morning air and lake sounds. Also, March was a nice moderate time to travel temperature-wise if you are like me and appreciate a little bit of coolness in the mornings and at night. From talking to the locals and other tourists, this was a good time to travel; in April temps rise quite a bit and things will be hottt ( I am Canadian). Daytime highs were between 25-30 C during our stay. All of the staff; from housekeeping to the poolside to the restaurant and the front desk were friendly, attentive and professional. The front desk staff (especially Valeria) were so lovely to chat with in accomodating our questions for directions and providing recommendations. The one time we did require assistance from maintenance to enter our room this was resolved in a timely and professional manner. Theresa in housekeeping did an amazing job of maintaining our room and she was very gracious in accommodating our little requests for extra towels, water bottles, etc. Overall, the Varali Grand Hotel was the best possible choice in Mazatlán; we had a restful, comfortable and stress-free stay in THE prime location in Mazatlán. Great value. This location totally maximized exploration opportunity for us (and we are explorative tourists). The restorative power of this quality of natural beauty is truly second -to-none. Stay here if you want real rest for your soul. We hope to be back soon.”
